AMA has been involved in a variety of design consultancy projects for Southwark Council - from transforming the old Walworth Town Hall into a ‘one stop shop’, to smaller, fast turnaround jobs like specifying a new look for the Chief Executive’s office suite and for the Register Office. AMA collaborated with Southwark Council to implement ‘modern ways of working’ across the Council. Besides estates rationalisation including assets disposals, the programme of modernisation was expected to drive the introduction of flexible and modern ways of working across the council, including a greater use of mobile technologies, more flexible use of space and the reduction in the amount of paper generated and stored across the council. The workplace design was critical to delivering this vision.
Examples of projects for Southwark include: Tooley Street Offices, Queen's Road Offices, Cator Street Resource Centre, Children Looked After Facility, Peckham One Stop Shop, Walworth One Stop Shop and Market Place Customer Facing Services.
