AMA was commissioned to develop a high level visualisation brief for Sheffield Business School at Sheffield Hallam University. This brief combined text, images, drawings, case studies and diagrams to envisage how the School’s current building and spaces could encourage new learning and working opportunities, and communicate these ideas to stakeholders and prospective design teams in an attractive, concise and accessible way. The brief culminated in a series of agreed principles and criteria which could be used to assess the success of future proposed design schemes in meeting the School’s vision.
As part of our background research we carried out workshops and interviews with faculty, staff and students using AMA’s proven WorkWare techniques. These engagements considered how the School is currently teaching, and how working methods are changing to support wider objectives. The work will feed into the longer term plans for the Sheffield Business School to ensure any final design for their space not only meets stakeholder expectations, but also creates a shared future educational strategy.
