Lessons from Clients - Client Conversations, which AMA wrote on behalf of the RIBA, is based on a number of interviews between clients from across the public and private sector and AMA to understand how buildings can best meet their needs, and to identify lessons that can be learned from their personal experience in commissioning buildings. Some of the clients interviewed are: Argent, Manchester City Council, University of Lancaster and Manhattan Loft. It covers the commissioning of housing, office buildings, schools and libraries. Public procurement through OJEU - Between April and May 2012, AMA Alexi Marmot Associates and Building Design Magazine (BD) carried out a survey of BD readers to understand the industry's experience with public procurement through OJEU. Education outcomes and building investment - AMA's report to the Scottish Funding Council Matching post-16 investment to education outcomes was published in March 2012. This report summarises key findings within the body of research linking buildings and estates to educational outcomes, drawn from studies covering schools, colleges and universities. The report also recommends a set of key questions that Colleges and Universities should ask when developing their estate investment and maintenance plans.
Interaction in workplace design - AMA's Guide to Successful Interaction has been written to highlight the key importance of interaction spaces in workplace design, and draws on the research findings to emerge from WorkWare CONNECT, a tool launched by AMA in 2009.
Educational vision and school design - AMA has recently published AMA-ZED: School design from A-Z. This tool has been designed to help generate ideas about school aspirations and the way in which school buildings and grounds can help to deliver an educational vision.
Occupant behaviour and space use - Over the last eighteen years AMA has collected data from over 60,000 people and 250 buildings including public and corporate offices and learning environments. The newsletter, WorkWare Nexus, was launched to disseminate AMA’s latest findings on occupant behaviour, space use and building requirements.
