The user experience of this hospital was the main focus of the evaluation conducted in 2007 for Balfour Beatty. Many important lessons for best practice were derived from this review that used a range of ways of gathering data from staff, patients, and their families, including timed movement through the hospital, photographs illustrating signage and general public environments, walkabouts with observation periods at key movement nodes, interviews and short questionnaires.
