AMA WorkWare is a toolkit of quantitative and qualitative methodologies invented and developed by AMA and now used around the world. It delivers – effectively and economically – evidence on how buildings are really used, combining building measurement and the best social science techniques. An extensive database drawn from 60,000 people in over 250 office buildings provides benchmarks for individual projects and reports on sector trends.
AMA WorkWareLEARN for educational buildings, has been used for over 100 buildings with 2,500 staff and student responses.
AMA WorkWareCONNECT launched in 2009, improves spaces for interaction to improve the knowledge economy. 12,700 people in 3,500 meetings held in 350 meeting spaces provided evidence on creation of excellent facilities.
AMA WorkWare uses five methods:
AMA continue to develop case studies for a wide range of projects in different sectors for client use. Our extensive set of case studies have been proven effective to simply communicate key issues, challenges, benefits and lessons - supporting clients as they define and develop their projects. These case studies build on our extensive database of buildings, and serve as useful examples to illustrate issues as well as to enhance client capacity and expand their practical knowledge.
AMA regularly lead visits to precedent projects, using specialist tools for engaging stakeholders, creating a shared vocabulary of space and a developing a consensus of what is right for each client group. These visits have proven useful for educational and commercial clients alike. Recently we also carried out a walkabout to look at sustainable issues in a local community.
