WorkWare Nexus is AMA's newsletter which disseminates our latest findings on occupant behaviour, space use and building requirements.
AMA WorkWare
AMA WorkWare is a toolkit of quantitative and qualitative methodologies invented and developed by AMA and now used around the world.
AMA WorkWare delivers – effectively and economically – evidence about how buildings are really used. It combines building measurement and the best techniques of social science. An extensive database drawn from 60,000 people in over 250 office buildings provides benchmarks for individual projects and reports on sector trends. A separate database for educational buildings is rapidly growing.
AMA WorkWare evidence is gathered from five methods:
- Questionnaires (web-based) for building users
- Space audit based on careful measurement, survey and analysis
- Space occupancy surveys using trained observers
- Workshops and focus groups to understand work processes and behaviours
- Interviews to understand the present, the vision for the future and business trends
