Valeria is a building engineer. She obtained a PhD in Industrial Engineering at Padua University in Italy, where she worked as a post-doctoral researcher until 2013.
Valeria is co-author of a number of different scientific papers, published in international journals and has presented the results of her research at many international conferences.
She developed and applied a methodology to analyse indoor environmental conditions in educational and health buildings, considering human physiological and psychological reactions, by investigating occupants’ experiences and satisfaction of microclimatic conditions, in relation to the overall building conditions.
She is interested in the relationship between occupants and buildings, aiming to provide a high level of indoor environmental quality, enhancing people’s well being, satisfaction and productivity.
