Joanna Eley

Joanna Eley is an architect, CABE enabler and an RIBA-accredited Client Design Adviser. She specialises in developing space strategies for public and private sector organisations and charities. She is a facilitator for HEDQF and DQI, and a trustee of the Useable Buildings Trust. Joanna has recently been selected as a Built Environment Expert by Design Council CABE.
Joanna has researched and written technical publications for many public bodies including CABE, the Heritage Lottery Fund, the Home Office, the Office of Government Commerce, the Sure Start Programme and Sport England. She masterminded CABE publications: Creating Excellent Buildings: A guide for clients and Creating Successful Masterplans: A guide for clients.
Joanna graduated in PPE at Oxford before studying architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and London University. With Alexi Marmot, she is co-author of Understanding Offices: What every manager needs to know about office buildings (Penguin) and Office Space Planning: Designing for tomorrow’s workplace (McGraw-Hill).
